2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras, LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras, LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon LPV is from clone 337 from the Las Piedras Vineyard in St. Helena. This shows Mission Haut-Brion-like characteristics as it has in the past, with crushed rock, wet gravel, scorched earth, blackberry and blueberry fruit. It is clearly one of my favorites of this entire tasting. It has 14.5% natural alcohol and was aged in 90% new Darnajou and 10% new Taransaud barrels. This is a killer effort. (RP)" (10/2016)

Black in color, with incredible aromas of crushed blackberry, mineral, licorice and lead pencil. Full-bodied, with a mind-blowing texture of seamless tannins that coat every millimeter of the palate. Goes on and on, with licorice, currant and flowers. Time will tell if it's better than the 2000. Best after 2017. (JS)"

2013 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, including fruit from some of the oldest Cabernet vines still in existence in Napa. This full-bodied classic displays notes of forest floor, earth, crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice and some pen ink. It is dense, full-bodied, prodigiously rich, massive in intensity, yet relatively light on its feet. This great ballerina of a wine has extraordinary ripeness but pulls back from the edge before going over the top. There are 1,000 cases of this classic, which should age effortlessly for 30+ years. Bid on this 3L-bottle of 1997 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (98RP, 95WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 10,200 cases of the remarkable 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate. Opaque purple-colored with a dense, chewy, full-bodied personality, it displays abundant cassis, mineral, and earth notes. This brilliantly made, super-concentrated, pure, blockbuster possesses sweet tannin as well as a terrific finish. Having added additional weight since last year, this sumptuous, multilayered, profoundly concentrated Cabernet contains 14% alcohol. It is a candidate for 25-30 years of longevity. (RP)" (12/2000)

Notes of mint, minerals, currants, blackberries, with hints of cedar. Full bodied, very velvety and chewy. This won't be out until 2013. Winemaker believes this could be the best one yet, and I have to agree." (02/2011)

James Suckling: "What a tightly knit wine this is with so much fabulous character of dried meat, orange peel, berry and spice. Dried and dusty earth too. Full body, sweet fruit character and ripe tannins but loads of structure and intensity. Structurally intense and dry at the finish. It goes on for minutes. Best ever. " (12/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Colgin "Herb Lamb Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 94RP, 94ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Herb Lamb Vineyard is a wonderful wine on its own merit, but by no means is it as impressive as the other three efforts from Ann Colgin and her husband, Joe Wender. This wine has an opaque plum/ruby color, a scent of unsmoked, high-class tobacco, underbrush, spice box, black currants, chocolate and espresso. It is seriously endowed, elegant, and again, fully mature, but without the nobility, complexity and sheer class of the Tychson Hill or the IX Estate. This wine should be drunk over the next 7-8 years. (RP)" (06/2012)

2010 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana (97RP, 96VN, 96WS, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I remember the thrill this wine gave me when I tasted it upon release. The 2010 Flaccianello della Pieve is a spectacular effort that has only just started its evolutionary journey. This wine has a long, long way to go and I hope to be able to check on its progress with some degree of frequency. In fact, I'm moving the drinking window up by a few years to give it more breathing room. The wine opens to a rich and masculine appearance, and there are iron-like notes that seem specific to this vintage. More mineral and granite stone add great definition. At the core of this wine is a dark and savory serving of black cherry and spice that aspire to seamless integration. The tannins are still firmly on-guard, and this wine needs more time to complete its integration and start its elegant cellar evolution. (ML)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino (98JS, 96WE, 94VN, 92WS). James Suckling: "I really appreciate the dark-berry and burnt-orange aromas that follow through to a full body, very integrated tannins and a ripe, juicy fruit character. Savory, succulent and salty. Hints of chocolate and salted nuts. So juicy and gorgeous. A fabulous red. Drink now but also hold for years ahead." (01/2015)

2001 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2001 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97RP, 97VN, 97WE, 95W&S, 95WS, 93ST). Vinous: "The 2001 Monte Bello is a total turn-on. Racy and hedonistic, especially by Ridge standards, the 2001 makes a strong opening statement with its super-ripe fruit and explosive aromatics. Beams of supporting tannin lie in the background and serve to give the wine its overall shape. Hints of leather, mint and sweet tobacco add perfume throughout. Over the last few years, the 2001 has begun to develop quite a bit of more tertiary notes. It remains one of the most flamboyant (and ripest) Monte Bello ever made. (AG)" (06/2017)

Bid on this magnum of 1997 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (100RP, 97WS, 95WE, 94ST, 93W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An inky/plum/purple color is accompanied by a stunning bouquet of violets, charcoal, creme de cassis and a hint of toast. Prodigious when it hits the palate with a full-bodied expansiveness, there is not a hard edge to be found in the 1997, only velvety tannins, compelling depth and fruit intensity, and stunning purity. It is a perfect expression of Napa viticulture and wine that should continue to age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (11/2013)

Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2011 Syrah Dark Blossom showed even better from bottle than barrel. A blend of 84% Syrah, 8% Grenache, 4% Petite Sirah and the rest Roussanne and Petite Manseng, this beauty was fermented with 17% whole clusters and aged in equal parts new and used French oak. One of the shining successes in the vintage, it’s a full-bodied, concentrated and layered Syrah that has awesome aromatics of blackcurrants, Peking duck, pepper, licorice and charcuterie in its seamless, thrillingly pure profile. As with Manfred’s other 2011s, the tannins are certainly present, yet they’re sweet, polished and have no hard edges. Give this beauty 2-3 years in the cellar and enjoy bottles through 2

Full-bodied, with beautifully silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. A true beauty. This is real Nebbiolo. Conteisa comes from the Cerequio vineyard near La Morra, in the heart of Barolo-producing territory. Best after 2009. *Collectibles* (JS)" (07/2004)

Licorice and mushroom It's full body, with layers of ultra-fine tannins and hints of tangy acidity. Such beautiful length and beauty to this wine. 2010 Ferraton Père et Fils "Les Miaux" Hermitage Blanc
Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2010 Ferraton Père et Fils "Les Miaux" Hermitage Blanc (92ST, 91RP). ,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Bright gold. Pungent, highly perfumed bouquet evokes peach, poached pear, tangerine and white flowers; this smells quite a bit like a Condrieu. Broad, palate-staining pit fruit flavors are enlivened by spice and mineral qualities and pick up a suave honeyed nuance with air. Notes of iodine and toasted grain come up on the long, sappy, focused finish, which features a bright citrus quality. Wild stuff, and complex enough to drink now. (JR)" (03/2012)

1995 La Conseillante, Pomerol
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 La Conseillante, Pomerol (94DC, 93WS, 92RP, 91VN). Decanter: "1995 was a warm year and the ripe fruits, with notes of fig and prune, come through strongly on the nose. The palate showcases soft truffles, gentle tobacco and some mushroom notes alongside the ripe fruit. You can feel the warm embrace of those Pomerol tannins, tugging rather than dragging you through the palate. It's softened so beautifully that it's fully in its drinking window and should be enjoyed now, although it won't dip for at least another decade. (JA)" (11/2017)

2004 Domaine Leroy Bourgogne Rouge
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine Leroy Bourgogne Rouge (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "As one might reasonably expect, this is by far and away the most complex nose I have ever experienced with a so-called Bourgogne, revealing notes of red raspberry, spice, earth and violets that are followed by rich, classy and stylish flavors that possess a textured, pure and wonderfully refined finish that goes on and on. This is of top 1er quality and while the structure is supple, this clearly will age. Lalou Bize-Leroy took the most extraordinary step of declassifying all of her upper level wines to villages level, creating in the process the most striking examples that I have ever tasted for their respective appellations. Given the incredible range of vineyards that Domaine Leroy possesses, this is not surprising but it does raise the obvious question as to why Mme. Bize elected to do such a thing in the first place. Creating a superlative Vosne by blending in the entirety of the Richebour

Blackberries, blueberries, violets, spring flowers, lead pencil and a remarkable minerality all emerge from this sensational wine that has sweet, present tannin, no hard edges, and a great, great finish. 2007 Arnaud Ente Meursault 1er Cru "Les Petits Charrons"
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Arnaud Ente Meursault 1er Cru "Les Petits Charrons" (93JG, 92ST, (89-91BH), 91RP). John Gilman: " I was a tad worried that the other Meursault bottlings in the cellar might suffer after the profound La Sève de Clos, but no problems. The 2007 Petits Charrons is also stunning this year, as it soars from the glass in a classic blend of iodine apple, passion fruit, wet stones, hazelnuts, apple blossoms and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep, crisp and beautifully balanced, with great mid-palate depth, lovely generosity on the attack, and a stellar, stony and very snappy backend that clearly shows that this wine is on its way up to cruising altitude, and as good as it is to drink today, another four or five years of bottle age will be very, very richly rewarded. A great bottle of Meursault. " (01/2009)

It is a complex wine that changes constantly in the glass. At times it is the wine’s dark fruit that dominates, while at others it is the aromatics that take center stage. I especially like the way the Chaumes blossoms on the palate. The finish is rich, textured and totally seductive. (AG)" (05/2011)

That, and density of texture. The additional element in this vintage, and at this stage of the wine’s development, is a dominant wood element. The vanilla and tannins from the wood match well with the concentrated tannins of the fruit, which is dark, dense and tight. This is a wine for long-term aging: in 15 years this will have superb richness. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (03/2009)

2008 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Montrachet Grand Cru (98BH, 96ST, 94WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "At the risk of waxing poetic, the nose is genuinely like a spring day in a garden with utterly beguiling and multifaceted aromas of an implausibly broad variety of flowers, spices, discreet pain grillé, roasted nuts and a hint of garrigue that complements the dense, brooding and very serious flavors that are borderline massive yet, like the Cabotte, betray absolutely no sense of undue weight or blowsyness. The explosive finish stains the palate and coats the mouth with dry extract and this is one of the greatest examples of this wine that I have ever seen from Bouchard but be prepared to be patient. A true 'wow' wine." (06/2010)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(from a .70 ha parcel, most of which are also 70+ year old vines) Not surprisingly, this is more elegant and refined than the Clos Rognets with moderate oak influence tussling somewhat against the pretty, layered and highly spiced red berry fruit and violet aromas that dissolve into delicious and impressively concentrated flavors that are more refined and very pure, all wrapped in a rich, full and sweet finish of outstanding length. A quintessential Vosne but one with power and punch. *Outstanding* " (01/2010)

2002 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru ((93-96ST), 94BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good red-ruby. Complex, soil-inflected aromas of raspberry, blackberry, minerals, rose petal, violet, smoked meat and espresso. Very sweet on entry, then wonderfully concentrated, densely packed and broad, with superb precision and verve. The impression of strong soil character and thorough ripeness carries through to the very long finish, which features fine tannins and a mineral firmness. Potentially great. Yes, Philippe actually showed me this beauty after the Clos Vougeot but before four other grand crus." (03/2004)

2015 Chimère (Sine Qua Non) Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L - OWC)
Bid on this magnum of 2015 Chimère (Sine Qua Non) Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (OWC - 97JD) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Chimère is a selection of Mourvèdre made by the Maurel brothers of Clos Saint Jean, oenologist Philippe Cambie, and Sine Qua Non genius Manfred Krankl. I believe there’s a touch of Grenache in the blend, as well as some Clairette and other varieties, but the bulk of this cuvée comes from the famed la Crau lieu-dit and is brought up all in demi-muids. It offers a beautiful perfume of sweet kirsch and blueberry fruit intermixed with loads of licorice, sweet spice, violets, and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, super intense, sweetly fruited, perfumed, and complex, it’s a gorgeous 2015 that does everything right. Forget bottles for 4-6 years and it should keep for 2 to 3 decades." (02/2018)

2007 Castello del Terriccio Toscana
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Castello del Terriccio Toscana (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Castello del Terriccio is another striking wine from Terriccio. It is naturally quite a bit more open than the two 2008s tasted alongside it because of the radiance of the year. Blackberries, spices, licorice, violets and tar are woven together in a seamless fabric of notable elegance and sheer class. The perception of tannin is barely noticeable. Readers will be tempted to drink the 2007 young, but my sense is that the wine is still at least a few years away from giving its all. The blend is 50% Syrah, 25% Petit Verdot and 25% other red grapes. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027. (AG)" (06/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The unique and personal 2009 Viña Tondonia Rosado Gran Reserva is a little darker than the 2008 I tasted next to it. It also feels a little riper and nuttier, with some traces of ripe apricots and flowers. It's also fuller and not as sharp as the 2008 and has a dry, chalky/stony palate. These are unique wines that develop in bottle for a long time. (LG) 93+" (06/2019)

2007 Domaine Henri Boillot Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Henri Boillot Montrachet Grand Cru (97BH, 96RP, (92-94ST)). 97 points Burghound: "This is also strikingly pure, refined and fantastically elegant and while the kaleidoscopic nose is more restrained and primary still, the density of the fruit with its associated depth is quite simply sublime. Notes of white truffle, citrus, rose petal, anise, brioche and clove merge into concentrated, powerful, delineated and stony flavors that are big but not necessarily massive and culminate in a finish that is even more persistent than that of the Chevalier if not necessarily finer. Still, what this gives up in delicacy it more than makes up for in size, weight and power. A classically proportioned Monty." (07/09) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Boillot 2007 Montrachet (from the Chassagne side) is alluringly scented with honeysuckle, Persian melon, white peach, heliotrope, lily, narcissus, and musk; sets up a vibratory interaction of elements on the pa

2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Les Pavots, a Bordeaux varietal blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, is brilliant. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by gorgeously complex aromas of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries, and cassis. Full-bodied with a superb texture, a subtle note of oak, and fabulous concentration, it is more reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux than one expects with this much Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. A thirty-year wine, its impeccable balance and the sweetness of its tannins make it accessible already. (RP)" (02/2010)

Of the 2012 Kosta Browne "Garys' Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "One of my favorites in the lineup, the 2012 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard shows its 15% whole cluster fermentation with the darker fruit, ground pepper, herbs and background meatiness that shows on the nose. A rich, full-flavored, yet still seamless and elegant Pinot Noir, it has solid underlying structure and beautiful focus that comes through on the finish. It can be consumed anytime over the coming 5-7 years. This was another stacked lineup by the team of Dan Kosta and Michael Browne. 1977 Fonseca Vintage Port
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1977 Fonseca Vintage Port (100JS, 100WS, 95JG, 93RP). James Suckling: "Vintage Port doesn't seem like the right wine in the middle of the summer but I had an Amarone producer for dinner the other night in Tuscany and he had never drunk a wine from his birth year. He was lucky enough to have been born in 1977 - a great Port year! I found a bottle of 1977 Fonseca in my cellar - probably my last. It was absolutely gorgeous. I gave this fortified wine a perfect score in its youth and I think it has finally evolved into its perfection as a mature vintage Port. Here is the tasting note. 1977 Fonseca Vintage Port: This is in total balance now with such harmony. What amazing aromas of berry and flowers. Full and sweet, the tannins are complete dissolved. The fruit is perfect. This goes on for minutes. Drink now. But it will go forever." (08/2016)

Of the 2013 Aubert "UV Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The rich, prodigious, full-bodied 2013 Pinot Noir UV, made from the Calera and Vosne-Romanée clones, is a denser, richer wine offering abundant notes of blueberries, blackberries, forest floor and strong hints of Asian hoisin sauce, dark fruits and forest floor. There are approximately 1,000 cases of this sensational Pinot, which Mark Aubert decanted 12 hours in advance of my visit. There is not a trace of new oak in this wine, which spent 10 months in 100% new barrels. Like all the 2013 Pinot Noirs, it has a decade or more of aging potential. Drink through 2025. 1982 Dehlinger Russian River Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 1982 Dehlinger Russian River Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L). Dehlinger winery was started in 1975 when Davis-trained enologist Tom Dehlinger planted his first 14 acres to vine in the Russian River Valley. The winery has always focused on perfecting technique and balancing flavors as opposed to making large quantities of wine. Consistently good through the years, this 1982 should be a delight for anyone wanting a taste of Sonoma County wine history. As recently as July 2007, wine writer Richard Jennings scored this venerable wine 91 points at a tasting: "Group's 6 (my 1)...garnet red color with clear meniscus; leather and tobacco nose with herbal/ginger note; good mature Cali Cab with tart cassis and cherry, dusty tannins; medium-plus finish 91+ pts."
